10 Items I Want to Buy
Hi, and welcome back. I've got a little free time and absolutely no money (my trip to Japan has been crazy expensive), so today I've decided to make a list of 10 items I want to buy. Enjoy!
10) Blundstone Clogs
Alright, starting off hot. I realize this is a kind of a crazy take, but I love these blundstone clogs. Growing up in Vermont, everyone and their mother owned a pair of Blundies. Yes, that's me included - I love my pair so much. The only problem, as a dude, Blundie boots look a little strange with shorts. Cue the Blundstone clog; fun, playful, well made, and honestly, stylish...? I love these clogs so much and I sit around all the time plotting fits I would wear with them. When in doubt, casual cotton short and a button down. Little hat action and maybe some shades? Hell yeah. At $180 I will own these before the summer time one way or another. I need these biblically.9) Found Workwear Horse Jacket
Next up, this fantastic workwear jacket by this brand I found on instagram, ironically the name of the brand is also Found. Found has a variety of workwear inspired jackets as well as other items, and for whatever reason, I love this green horse hacket. They seem to enjoy the horse motif quite a bit, and I'm here for it. I love the flower detailing on the collar and the cuffs as well, and those front stash pockets are fantastic. I could see myself working this thing in as a statement piece, given the fact that its a pretty loud garment. Man I love this thing. For around $250 though its kinda steep, so we'll see if I end up with this eventually somehow.8) Carhartt Green Shorts (90s/00s)
This next one is pretty straight forward, and it's just a nice pair of 90s/00s green Carhartt work shorts. Honestly these are just very straightforward no BS shorts for the summer time. I'd love these and a few other colors too, as they fit great, feel great, and look fantastic for summer wear. These will also only run you $25-30 so you'd better bet you're boy is gonna get himself these, and maybe some midwash denim ones too. Also noted, I want these as pants in the same exact color, gotta be dungaree/original fit. There's no reason to list the pants separately though, so just keep that in mind.7) Adidas Samba Green Suede
If you haven't realized it yet, I really like the color green. I also really like the Adidas Samba. Say what you will about these being trendy or at least they used to be, but honestly as the hype dies down on these shoes it just supports the fact that I love this shoe even more. I really like a flat sneaker, and these fit the bill perfectly. I'd also say I would take the green leather pair of these bad boys, as they're dope in either construction. For about $110 these are a pretty legit buy.6) Kawa Cicada Pants
I recently found this brand Kawa on instagram, and honestly, I love these pants. I grew up loving the outdoors and wanting to explore them, and as I got older I got into hiking. Something about the design of these pants is just so much fun to me. I love the proportions of these pants, they're loose, they're fun, and the cicada wing design is really cool to me. I also love that they have sizing in REG and TALL, which is huge for me considering I'm 6'6 and buying from instagram brands is really fucking hard sometimes. They also come in a bunch of different colors, and they're a step down from a performance tech pant, so you can wear these in a variety of different contexts. They're not super cheap, coming in around $120, but that's really not too ridiculous. I actually might pick these up.5) Karaku Striped Heavy Overshirt
Another day, another green item, and funny enough, another brand I found through Instagram. The alogrithm knows me well. That being said, these classic workwear style pieces really really speak to me, and I could see myself wearing something like this all the time. It comes in around $80-85, but I could likely be convinced to buy this thing eventually. I may just start a small side fund for pieces I want to aquire, and start feeding money into it once in a while to buy stuff like this. I've been seeing this for months, and eventually it will be mine.
4) Merrell 1 TRL Wilderness
Another pair of shoes, yes, I'm a shoe guy. As I've stated before, I love the granola aestheic, and these fit right in. These remind me a lot of the Danner alpine lowtops (don't know their name), but these are just so fun. They're a bit pricey, around $300, but I saw them on the Merrell website for less than $200 during the holiday season. I love the hairy suede, and call me crazy, but I think I could make these work with pants and shorts. I don't know, these are just awesome. I just feel like the worst person you know would be buying a matcha latte in these, and honestly I aspire to be the guy you're judging, just to prove you wrong. Also, I got a pair of Merrell Moab 3 Gore-Tex for Christmas from my brother (shoutout), and they just make shoes so well man.
3) L.L. Bean Tote
I lowkey really want a nice tote bag. Plus points for having a zip top. I just feel like I would use this thing a lot, throwing all my school shit or groceries in it or something. I realize all these items are making me look like a performative bastard, but damn, I stand by all of them. These are like $60 maybe, but I'm sure I could find a coupon.2) At The Moment US: Big Frog Thermal
Dude. I spent fucking 25 minutes looking for this thing, that's just how awesome it is. I don't know, this thing is just so fun to me. Also, I need to add a few more statement pieces to my closet, and this fits that granola vibe I like. I want this a lot. It's about $55 bucks, but the brand looks a little gnarly. Either way, shirt is so cool.1) Colour Plane White TeeAnd here we are at the very end, rounding it out with what matters most: the staple white tee. A good heavyweight white tee is much needed in my collection, and for $45 this is pretty reasonable. I will probably be aquiring this and maybe a few of them. Enough said.
Thanks for tuning in, until next time.
